Kicking off 2026 with the continuation of making Senior & Dickson as sustainable as possible.
We have increased our solar panel fleet by another 276 , 147kWp panels on our main factory roof, along with our previous 240 panels we now have 516 solar panels generating sustainable energy.
The new 247 , 147kWp panels will generate 132,419 kWh of energy per year, on top of the current solar panels generating 85,000 kWp of energy a year, making our total energy input through solar energy at more than 215,000 kWp per annum.
Not only does this mean we are generating for efficient and sustainable energy we are also reducing our carbon footprint as we will avoid an additional 28,470kg of C02 emissions every year, which is the equivalent of saving up to 1,300 trees per annum.
Currently we are seeing that we are producing more than 50% of the energy that we are actually using in our factories, on our machinery, electrics and computers. Demonstrating just how much energy we are generating from the solar panels. This also means that we will reap the benefits in the years to come and allows us to look at investing in more machines and increase our capacity as we look to grow as a business.
